St .Josephs Prep Hawks
Last season, St. Joseph’s Prep went undefeated on its way to the 6A state title and a national No. 6 ranking.
The Hawks are currently ranked #12 in the nation according to High School Football America.
In its first Rumble on the Raritan game last Friday night, St. Joseph’s Prep survived a late rally to beat No. 4-ranked St. John’s College (Washington, D.C.), 34-30.
Prep is loaded with top level talent such as the son of a Hall of Famer, Marvin Harrison Jr., the other, the son of a former beloved Eagle, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., and a national-level quarterback and Ohio State commit Junior, 6-foot-3, 200-pound Kyle McCord, who was the Philadelphia Catholic League MVP and who threw for over 280 in the PIAA Class 6A state championship.
St Joe's Prep schedule is as challenging as anyone in the nation. Head football coach Tim Roken's philosophy seems to be to be any team, any time and any place!
Friday's game is the grand finale of the Inaugural Rumble on the Raritan.
This one certainly looks to be a thrilling finish for the Rumble's three fantastic weekends of High School Football at Rutgers University.
IMG Academy Ascenders
IMG Academy, finished No. 5 in the High School Football America Top 100 national rankings last year and once again is playing one of the toughest schedules featuring top teams from around the nation.
The Ascedners are loaded with some top level national recruits. This list of guys that will surely be who's next for some major college football programs.CB Elias Ricks (6-2, 190), S Lejond Cavazos (6-1, 195), DL Demonte Capehart (6-4, 285), WR Michael Redding III (6-1, 195), RB Kaytron Allen (5-11, 195)
IMG Academy beat a very talented Northwestern (Miami) team 24-7 and showed why it has the best defense in Florida and possibly the nation. The Ascenders get to test that defense against one of the most explosive offenses in the country on Friday.
This game will mark the conclusion of this years Inaugural Rumble on the Raritan.
Friday Night's matchup with St Joe's has all the makings of a high school football classic.
